AS - Assembly / Disassembly

AS applications are used in the VL Warehouse Management System to assemble/disassemble products from/into components. The main features are as follows: Items to be assembled are predefined. You may specify which components make up the assembly. These can include Products belonging to other Clients. A Charge can be assessed for billing purposes. An Assembly/Disassembly Work Order can be created and printed, from which Warehouse personnel can work. The system reserves stock by Lot and Location. Once the physical work of assembly/disassembly is complete, the Work Order can be confirmed, in order to update the on-hand quantities. If related Charges have been assessed, an Invoice is automatically generated. Work Order movement is updated in the Inventory Movement file as an adjustment. For a list of the terms associated with assembly/disassembly and other applications in the Warehouse Management System, see Warehouse Terminology.
